ROOTED AND GROWING IN CHRIST

St. Peters is made up of sinners who have been saved by the grace of God given through Jesus Christ. That means whoever you are and whatever you have done, you are welcome here to receive the same mercy that we have received through God's Word and his Sacraments. We would love to have you join us at our church, school and/or Early Childhood Center to become rooted in the foundation of the gospel and to grow exponentially in Christ.

John 15:5
I am the vine; you are the branches.
If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit;
apart from me you can do nothing.

-Jesus

What's happening on the Hill?

Lent is more than being serious about sin...

Tomorrow, the season of Lent begins with Ash Wednesday. This is a time of sincerity as we walk with our Savior to the cross.

...because it is too emotional. It is hard for them because it reminds them of their pain. It reminds them of their failures, which is good, but so much so that it is hard to stand! It hurts to look at Jesus that way, so hurt and destroyed by our sin...

Thoughts of Hope

Dear St. Peter's family,
 Yesterday's tragedy at Abundant Life Christian School has had me shaken all day. There are so many questions and not many answers. The proximity and the similarity to our own ministry cause it to hit even closer to home. I'm sure many of you have been similarily affected. I'm very thankful to Mr. Westenberg for the words he sent out on our behalf as a school and ELC yesterday. If you have not seen his message, please read it here below. It lays out our...

St. Peter's Lutheran church is one of 1200+ congregations that make up the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS). We are a Bible-based church bringing you a message that is as old as the world itself; Jesus Christ crucified and risen for the sins of the entire world so that anyone who believes in him will have eternal life (John 3:16).
